Step 1: Punch out the pin from the broken latch using a small Punch or nail (1/16”) and keep the pin.

Step 4: Set the pin to final depth with a hammer or press into position with a C-clamp as shown.

Step 2: Make note of the pin and the serrations on one end. Insert the opposite end into the hole of the new latch. Make sure the pin is started in the far side before moving to step

Step 3: Insert the pin on the new latch. Carefully slide the pin through the hole in the middle of the latch and should be started on the far side of the latch before moving to step 4.
